We booked a 5 day hike with Rajasthan Trekking in the Aravali Mountain area. As part of our trip we had an afternoon on cycles with Pramod to the Ranakpur Jain Temple. The ride was very smooth with Pramod as our guide despite the bumpy and sometimes busy streets. Pramod made us feel very safe and encouraged us to have a fun the whole way. The cycles themselves are new and well built and quit comfortable, with multiple gears for all types of terrain and experince level. We loved having the option to get on the bikes after our morning trek - there was always something new to experince and see. Cycling is a great way to see beautiful Rajasthan. If you love adventure and want to see the real Indian Culture we would definitely recommend this company, and Pramod as your cycling guy!

Pramod took care of me, for a very interesting tour in the city. He gave me a lot of information about whate we saw and about indian life. We tasted many good things. GREAT HILLS TO GREAT PLAINS

FUN & ADVENTURE CYCLING TOUR:
6 NIGHTS – 7 DAYS


 

DAY 1: UDAIPUR
Arrive at Udaipur. Local Sightseeing with Guide and in the evening, you will meet the cycling team where you get to know your bikes & some technical know-how. Later, go for short warm up tour, a tour orientation speech & Tour backdrop will be shared. This day will be a kind of a curtain raiser for your cycling tour.
Dinner & overnight at Hotel.
Cycling : 20 Kms.


 

DAY 2: UDAIPUR- ARANYAWAS (80 Kms.approx.)
After breakfast, we will leave for Aranyawas – an hotel set amidst the lush forest around the Kumbhalgarh sanctuary. We will cycle in two different phases. First from point “A” to “B” that is 30 km approx (going out from Udaipur city up-till the highway) and second from “B” to finish point that is 25 km (where we leave the highway & take a country road). We skip the High way (N.H.-76) between point “A” & “B”, but, if the guests want & are comfortable with cycling on the highway, we shall continue biking without having to do it in phases.
We will pass through a picturesque terrain. Though a little hilly with some uphill rides, it’s enjoyable. We will also, indulge in a very interesting Village walk en-route. After reaching Aranyawas, we check-in at our hotel, have a leisurely lunch, &, after a little lay-off we shall visit some Bhil tribe’s dwellings. Dinner & overnight at Aranyawas.

Terrain: Rural landscape surrounded by hills.


 

DAY 3: ARANYAWAS – RANAKPUR – NARLAI (60 Kms.approx.)
After breakfast, we shall leave for Ranakpur through a down hill beautiful terrain. We reach Ranakpur & visit The Famous Jain Temple which is magnificently carved & is like poetry in white marble. Lunch at Ranakpur. On the way, you will encounter a wide array of flora, will get opportunities to spot the black faced “Langur” monkey, see the colorfully dressed shepherds with their herds, elegant ladies dressed in traditional attire doing their daily chores, groups of children waving at you in amusement as you pass by. After criss-crossing through a number of settlements along our route, we will reach Rawla Narlai which is our destination for the night.
Dinner & overnight at Rawla Narlai.

Cycling: 50 Kms.
Drive: 10 Kms
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch.
Terrain: Rural Landscape, Forest and down hills.


 

DAY 4: NARLAI - CHANOD (55 Kms. approx.)
After Breakfast, we start our ride from Rawla Narlai & head towards Chanod Garh on the way, like the previous day, we will again see a wide array of rural life which is awesome as it is really very ethnic. Lunch will be en-route (packed lunch from Narlai hotel). After passing through a number of villages & small country towns, today’s biking culminates at the beautiful Chanod Palace which a very rustic, but, a luxurious aristocratic home turned into a hotel. It is indeed a palace home stay where you can indulge in a candid conversation with the host family.

DAY 5: CHANOD – ROHET (75 Kms. Approx.)
This morning, we ride towards Rohet , a very easy ride compared to the start of the tour, as we mostly peddle along on a plain terrain & on either side of the road, you will see a mixed landscape, some green pastures, some bush-lands, irrigated fields & arid land. You will notice the gradual change in terrain & landscape as you descend from “Mewar” region to “Marwar”. This area is the advent of the great Thar desert in the extreme west of Rajasthan. Even the dialect & tone of language changes here a wee bit. But the color of life remains the same. In-fact, the deeper you venture into arid regions, the colors get brighter. The people are quite friendly here as well. We will have lunch en-route (today will be a packed lunch from Chanod hotel. We will reach Rohet Garh sometime late afternoon. Rohet is also home to an erstwhile noble family & also one of the best heritage hotels of Rajasthan.

Terrain: Rural landscape and plain terrain.


 

DAY 6: ROHET- JODHPUR (55 Kms. Approx)
After Breakfast, we proceed for Jodhpur on our bikes via Salawas, if we get lucky on the way, we might spot some spotted deer, black bucks & blue bull antelopes (nilgai). We reach Jodhpur late afternoon & check-in at our Hotel. Our biking safari of 6 days culminates here. If you feel you have enough energy left after a long day’s biking, you can choose to explore the city’s heritage & its majestic fort or leave it to next day.
Dinner & overnight at Ajit Bhawan Hotel.
Accommodation: Hotel Ajit Bhawan
Cycling: 40 Kms
Drive: 15 Kms
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch
Terrain: Rural landscape and plain terrain.
