DAY 1: Jaipur - Pushkar
Arrive at Pushkar. You will be received & welcomed by our cycling Team & Guides,
where you will get to know your bikes & cycling team as well. Get acclimatized
with the bikes with a short round trip around the Pushkar town & outskirts.
Pushkar - is famous for its colourful
annual fair during kartik poornima (full moon) in November every year. At this
time, it is very crowded, otherwise peaceful and gentle village on the banks of
holy Pushkar lake is thrown into colourful confusion when the desert tribes and
camel caravans meet to trade cattle, camels, goat, sheep, clothes, jewellery and
spices. Upto 200000 traders and 50000 cattle pour into town, along with numerous
festooned camels and colourful pilgrims. After 10 hectic days of livestock
dealing, camel racing and colourful festivities, on the night of the full moon (Kartik
Purnima), everybody goes for a big holy dip in the lake and performs religious
rituals in its waters, to the accompaniment of temple & folk music. It is also
claimed to be the only place which has the temple of Lord “Brahma” - The creator
of universe in Hindu mythology.

DAY 2: Pushkar - Khejarla ( 135 kms.)
After breakfast start cycling and leave for fort Khejarla. We will be cycling
from a town called Merta (this town is very popular for folklores of lady saint
of medieval India-Meera Bai) today which is about 1.5 hours drive from Pushkar.
We are doing so to avoid the highway. As soon as we reach Merta, we will again
mount our bikes & head towards Khejarla for a longer biking trail. We will be
passing through various villages, mainly Beetan, Borunda & Ransi Gaon. Packed
Lunch will be served on the way at village Ransi Gaon( A historic village famous
for its haunted stories). We will now carry on & finish at Khejarla. If you
still think you have enough energy left, you may choose to go for a walk around
Khejarla village.

DAY 3 : Khejarla – Fort Chanwa ( 110 kms.)
This morning after Breakfast, we start cycling towards Luni which also known as
Fort Chanwa. On this route, we will go through a plethora of colorful villages &
Hamlets. This is a plain and flat so it is more easy and comfortable for
cycling. We will have lunch en-route at Chandelao. After lunch, we continue to
ride towards Fort Luni. Keep your eyes open to spot great variety of birds, the
biggest antelope-nilgai(blue bull), some spotted deer & black bucks with a
plethora of rich & colorful countryside along with it’s beautiful people. Reach
Fort Chanwa in the evening.

Terrain: Rural landscape surrounded by arid zones & a few agricultural

DAY 4 : Fort Chanwa - Chanoud ( 90 kms.)
After breakfast, We will leave for Chanoud. On the way, we will
see some great rural life The Shepherd community which is awesome as it is
really very ethnic full of color & character. We will have Lunch somewhere on
the way at a carefully chosen spot. Our stay for night at beautiful Chanoud Garh
which is a very rustic, but a luxurious aristocratic home turned into a hotel.
It is indeed a palace home stay where you can indulge in a candid conversation
with the host family.
Dinner & overnight at Chanod Garh.
Accommodation: Chanod.
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch.
Cycling: 50 KMs.
Drive: 40 KMs.
Terrain: Rural Tribal area surrounded by Aravali hills. |

DAY 5: Chanoud - Narlai ( 55 kms.)
After Breakfast, We start our ride from Chanoud Garh & head towards Rawla Narlai
on the way, like the previous day, we will again see a wide array of rural life
which is awesome as it is really very ethnic. Lunch will be en-route (packed
lunch from Chanoud hotel), We will see the colorfully dressed
shepherds with their herds, elegant ladies dressed in traditional attire doing
their daily chores, groups of children waving at you in amusement as you pass
by. After criss-crossing through a number of settlements along our route, we
will reach Rawla Narlai which is our destination for the night.

DAY 6 : Narlai - Ranakpur ( 50 kms.)
After breakfast, we will leave for Ranakpur. We will pass through the foot hills
of Aravalis which is a very picturesque terrain. Though a little hilly with
short uphill rides, it’s enjoyable. This ride takes us deep into the country
where the highlight will be tribal hamlets & shepherd communities. This area
also boasts of some lush green agricultural fields, We might also get
opportunities to spot the black faced “Langur” monkey. We shall also stop by a
camel breeding farm on the way, where they use the resources from camel milk &
waste & put it to maximum utilization. We will reach Ranakpur around
lunch. We will check- in our hotel. After lunch & a little lay-off, we take a to
& fro cycle ride to Ranakpur Jain temples, which is one of the finest examples
of carvings on stone & it’s a sheer poetry in white marble. Later, we get back
to our hotel & give ourselves some rest with an option of spa & massage.

Terrain: Rural landscape and flat route. |

DAY 7: Ranakpur - Udaipur ( 90 kms.)
(cycling starts from Saira with Samal village walk)
This morning after breakfast we will leave for Udaipur. We will pass through a
picturesque terrain. Though a little hilly with some uphill rides, it’s
enjoyable. We will also, indulge in a very interesting Village walk en-route.
After reaching Udaipur, we check-in at our hotel. We will cycle in two different
phases. First from point “A” (Saira) to “B” (Jaswantgarh) that is 30 km approx.
and second from “B” to finish point that is 25 km (where we leave the highway &
take a country road all the way to our hotel in Udaipur). We skip the High way (N.H.-76)
between points “A” & “B”, but, if the guests want & are comfortable with cycling
on the highway, we shall continue biking without having to do it in phases.

Terrain: Countryside plain rural area.

DAY 8: Udaipur
After Breakfast, proceed for Udaipur sight- seeing. NOTE: If you
wish to extend your stay for 2 nights at any given destinations, you may. (In
this case, the cost of guides and back up increases by each day). Cycling for
longer durations & extending kilometers each day totally depends on the guest’s
preference & we will be more than happy to peddle along. |
